The Co-op announced Tuesday that it has notified constabulary enforcement of the safety breach together with informed HuskyDirect.com customers whose billing information the database contained. Information that may make got been exposed includes client names, addresses, email addresses together with band numbers also equally credit menu numbers, their expiration dates together with safety codes. The Co-op said it is arranging credit protection for the customers.
The Co-op is investigating how many of the 18,000 accounts inward the database were accessed.
Customers who purchased items inward the Co-op amongst a credit menu were non affected, nor were students who purchased text books, or made purchases inward someone at a Co-op shop or off-site location, the Co-op said. Only those customers who made purchases through HuskyDirect.com were affected.
No information stored past times the University of Connecticut itself were exposed.
